The opening round of the 2009 NHRA season got off to a wet start.  After only getting a single round of pro qualifying in due to presistat rain, eliminations had the same fate handed out.  It was not until Tuesday that the profesaswionals got to battle for their "Wallys" and some sportsmen didn't finish up until Wednesday - a full 7 day event, as it turned out.
